Mohegan - Despite its strapped finances, the Mohegan Tribe remains committed to proposed casino projects in Washington and Massachusetts, both of which would involve partnerships, according to the tribe's top elected official.
Bruce "Two Dogs" Bozsum, chairman of the Mohegan Tribal Council, said the tribe, which owns Mohegan Sun in Uncasville and Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., welcomed the federal government's approval last month of the Cowlitz Tribe's acquisition of a 152-acre reservation in southwestern Washington. The land would accommodate a $510 million casino that the Mohegans have agreed to help develop and manage. |
