VT Senate Unanimously Passes Abenaki Bill

In a roll count vote, the Vermont Senate unanimously passed S.222, (an act relating to recognition of Abenaki bands and tribes), 27-0.

Senator Hinda Miller for the Committee on Economic Development, Housing and General Affairs reported favorably today on the Senate floor, S.222 as amended. The committee voted unanimously on March 10, 2010.

Bill is expected to have it's third reading tomorrow and crossover to the House.
