Douglas Fails to Inform the Native Community

Gov. Jim Douglas’ office apparently has decided NOT to announce his appointments to the Vermont Commission on Native American Affairs. All serving members’ terms expired on August 1, 2008.
The seven-member group was formed following the signing into law of Act 125, the bill giving State recognition to Vermont's Abenaki People.
Reappointed include:
Chair - Don Stevens, of Enosburg Falls
