Great Lakes Indian Fish and Wildlife Commission Celebrates 25 years of Managing ResourcesNOT RECOMMENDED FOR DIAL UP
The Great Lakes Indian Fish and Wildlife Commission was born out of strife and racism on the boat landings of Northern Wisconsin when the Ojibwe tribes re-established the exercise of off-reservation hunting and fishing rights in the 1980's. Now they are celebrating 25 years of co-managing the natural resources with the state of Wisconsin with a concert, fish boil and other activities during July 2009, open and free to the public.
